what’s so wrong with having a little pressure, discomfort, uncertainty or push to the edge while living this one life?
I find that whatever I come up with, or say, is met with pushback recently.
why are you doing that?
just pay someone to do it?
that costs a lot of money?
and my favorite, don’t do that.
fuck, I'm so tired of it. I'm ready to break free into another chapter of being me. sometimes we hold ourselves back for fear of failing and falling, or the energy it takes to push back on the nay sayers. I think I've allowed myself to wade in the waters of good enough for too long. when I'm met with ‘reality’ internally I block it out, tell myself I don’t accept that and won’t let it effect what I do and who I am. but on the outside, it lingers. it lingers in the lack of taking the time to learn, create, or placing thoughts into action, and it lingers into trying.
excuses are a way to make us feel comfortable with not acting on our dreams, wishes, wild ideas and hopes. they give you a soft place to land on the surface, but internally cut you open like a knife and haunt your quiet moments. (speaking from experience here!)
so I ask again, what’s so wrong with having a little pressure, discomfort, uncertainty or push to the edge while living this one life? my reply? nothing. it’s how I want to live moving forward.
I'll be trying from now on anytime you see me, in every way. physically, mentally, professionally - and I hope you try too.
